Welcome to Simply Margot Robbie. This site has been a culmination of years of hard work that I am proud to finally share with you all! Our gorgeous theme designs are done by my good friend Claudia at Never Enough Design.
I have been a huge fan of Margot’s since her Neighbour’s days which for anyone who knows me well, knows I am NOT a soap fan…but it says something how special and gifted and actor is if they can get me to watch something I normally would not. There has not been a project to date I have not enjoyed watching and she just keeps getting better and better with each project.
I am from Queensland, Australia. Just like Margot! I am very proud of her work and of the journey she has made and look forward to watching her in all future projects and bring the latest to her fans.
More updates are to come and in the mean time please bookmark the site and follow us on Twitter.

And later in the day, Warner Bros. shared the news that it is releasing Birds of Prey, the Suicide Squad spin-off, on video-on-demand on March 24 even though it is still playing in theaters.
The film is expected to cost $19.99 to buy on platforms such as Amazon and iTunes, and will be available for rental in April, Variety reported.
Warner Bros. announced Monday it is releasing Birds of Prey, the Suicide Squad spin-off starring Margot Robbie, on video-on-demand on March 24 even though it is still in theaters
Birds Of Prey stars Margot Robbie as her Suicide Squad character Harley Quinn.
The movie was released on February 8 but has performed disappointingly in theaters, generating $177 million to date according to Variety. It had a budget of $85 million.
The studios are making the decisions to shorten or even abolish all together the traditional gap between showing a movie in theaters and making it available on demand as a growing number of movie theaters shut down across the US amid the growing coronavirus pandemic.
Multiplexes in New York, Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, have been ordered to close while movie-going overall has plummeted to a 20-year low as audiences follow advice to distanced themselves from others and stay home as much as possible.
Due to open in Australia on March 19th, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway has been pushed back to September 10th, making the film the second major studio release to be impacted by the coronavirus after James Bond: No Time to Die.
The live-action/CGI animated family film, which was filmed in Sydney, features Rose Byrne, Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki and James Corden as Peter.
The news comes amid cinema closures across Asia and Europe. Earlier this week, Italy announced that all its cinemas were to be closed, with others shutting in France and Slovakia. Cinemas across China have been closed for weeks.
The first film raked in $26.7 million in Australia in 2018 and $US351.3 million worldwide. In the UK, Peter Rabbit was the biggest family film of 2018, overtaking Pixar’s Coco with $56.3 million.
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) hit theaters final month and is at the moment the third-highest rated film in the newest batch of DC movies on Rotten Tomatoes. The brand new film stars Margot Robbie in the titular function and follows the character as she navigates her newfound independence after breaking apart with the Joker. An necessary half of the character’s transformation contains the costumes, which had been a lot much less “male gaze-y” than what Robbie beforehand wore in Suicide Squad. Birds of Prey was very clearly made by girls for ladies, and director Cathy Yan positively put loads of thought into the approach Harley Quinn and the different girls can be perceived onscreen. In a current New York Occasions article, a number of girls administrators defined how they rejected the male gaze of their movies, together with Yan.
The New York Occasions mentions the scene that options Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor) forcing a girl in his membership to get on a desk and strip. Here is what Yan needed to say about the second: “We had been fairly acutely aware to not muddy what the scene was meant to be about, by not providing something remotely susceptible or titillating,” she defined. “There are decisions like that which felt very deliberate; we had been ensuring we had been defending our feminine actors, even in a scene that was about humiliation.” She added that different decisions had been extra intuitive, saying, “It was much less, ‘I’m going to unpack and reject the male gaze of each director who’s come earlier than me’ and extra of an unconscious, innate response about what feels proper.” It was necessary to Yan to maintain the digital camera on her actors’ faces. “That’s the place you inform the story,” Yan mentioned. “‘Search for right here! I’m speaking to you!’”
In a current interview with The New Yorker, Yan spoke about the “sizzle reel” she made to pitch her imaginative and prescient for the movie, which she assures was “not your typical sizzle reel”. The montage was set to a do-it-yourself remix of “Diamonds Are a Woman’s Greatest Good friend” (a music that in the end made it into one of Birds of Prey‘s most memorable sequences), and tried for instance “the worst of fashionable womanhood.”
“Like, scenes from Bachelor proposals, the De Beers diamond industrial, Kim Kardashian’s vampire facial, Fox anchors speaking about girls, Trump saying ‘Seize ’em by the p*ssy’,” Yan defined. “After I confirmed the video, there was simply silence.”
The DC live-action universe has been on a roll lately. Following the disappointing performance of Justice League, Warner Bros. pivoted away from crossovers and shared storytelling for director-driven blockbusters like Shazam! and Aquaman. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn got to be fleshed out in Birds of Prey, and she’ll soon return to theaters with James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. And according to Gunn himself, he’s got quite an arc planned for the fan favorite Batman villain.
Harley Quinn was introduced in live-action for the first time in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. Margot Robbie stole the show in the blockbuster, but was just one member of an ensemble. Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey helped to expand the character and give us a look into her fractured psyche. Fans have been wondering how she’ll factor into The Suicide Squad, and when one fan asked about Harley’s costumes, James Gunn responded saying:
Harley goes on quite the journey in this film.
